Nambour is the kind of course I like to study before judging. On paper, a par 68 can sound light. Once you read the hole notes and see the elevated greens, rainforest pockets, slopes, and blind-ish angles, the picture changes fast. This Nambour Golf Club review is really about value versus length.
The club is not trying to be a glossy resort. It is a small members club, open seven days, with buggies, a licensed clubhouse, and a very useful 2026/27 membership schedule. For regular Sunshine Coast golfers, that matters more than a marketing-heavy course description.

What I liked and did not like

- The value equation is strong. A$1,200 for full 2026/27 membership is sensible compared with bigger Sunshine Coast names.
- The course has real shot value. The club warns you not to be fooled by the short par 68 label, and the elevated greens back that up.
- Visitors are not treated like an afterthought. The club says visitors are welcome and may play in the Sunday competition.
- The setting has character. Rainforest pockets and valley land make Nambour feel different from flat resort golf.

Best time to visit
For Nambour, I would target May through August first. You avoid the stickiest summer humidity and still get comfortable Sunshine Coast golf weather. September and October are also good if you want warmer arvo golf.
After heavy rain, call before leaving. The club’s own June 2026 greens report mentioned wet conditions, roped-off areas, and cart access signage. That is normal for a valley course, but it matters if you need a buggy.
