The thing I like about Surfers Paradise is that it does not overcomplicate the offer. You get a central Gold Coast course, visible social green fees, water in play, a refreshed clubhouse, and enough member structure to make regular golf viable. This Surfers Paradise Golf Club review is really about whether convenience still equals value.
My answer is mostly yes. It is not the flashiest course on the coast, and the cart cost can sneak up on you. But at A$60 walking for 18 holes, it remains one of the cleaner ways to play proper Gold Coast golf without heading to a resort.

- The visitor pricing is clear. The official page lists A$60 for 18 holes, A$35 for 9 holes, and A$39 unlimited walking twilight.
- The course is open to visitors and GolfLink players. That matters on the Gold Coast, where some options feel more closed or resort-priced.
- The layout has more bite than the location suggests. Tree-lined fairways and water hazards stop it feeling like a flat tourist hit.
- Golf 24 adds genuine extra value. Air-conditioned simulator practice from 5am to 10pm is handy in Queensland weather.
What I did not like
- Cart hire changes the value equation. A visitor cart is A$44 for 18 holes, so a riding visitor round becomes A$104.
- Visitor booking is phone-first. The official page tells visitors to call the Pro Shop rather than simply click through.
- Membership entrance fees are coming. The listed A$2,000 entrance fee for 7 Day and 5 Day categories starts 1 July 2027.

All prices are in AUD. Current social golf is A$60 for 18 holes and A$35 for 9 holes. Twilight unlimited walking golf is A$39 after 3pm, or 2:30pm in winter from May through August. Monday has an 18-hole walking special at A$60, or two players including a cart for A$130. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday after 1pm also show two players with cart for A$130.
Visitor cart hire is A$44 for 18 holes and A$27 for 9 holes. Pull buggy hire is A$7, while club hire is A$25 for 18 holes or A$15 for 9 holes.
For 2026/27 membership, 7 Day costs A$2,700 plus a A$2,000 entrance fee effective 1 July 2027. The 5 Day category costs A$2,350 plus the same entrance fee. Silver is A$1,180, Twilight is A$1,400, GAHO is A$300, Junior is A$430, and Cadet is A$330. Competition fees are A$17 where applicable.

Best time to visit
For Gold Coast golf, I prefer May through August. The humidity is lower, the winter twilight start moves to 2:30pm, and walking 18 holes is much more comfortable.
September and October are also strong if you want warmer weather without the worst of summer humidity. In December through February, book earlier, hydrate properly, and think twice before walking in the hottest part of the day.
Dress code and etiquette
Surfers Paradise keeps the dress rules practical. Wear enclosed shoes, tailored shorts or slacks, and a collared golf shirt. Women can wear modern, neat golf attire.
Do not arrive in T-shirts, singlets, party shirts, denim jeans, jean shorts, boardshorts, thongs, sandals, or metal spikes. The club says golfers not following the standard will not be allowed on the course, so do not treat this as optional.
