Three of golf’s biggest names each have a course at Reunion, and you still cannot walk up and book one. That is the first thing to understand about Reunion Resort and Golf Club.

The resort in Kissimmee, Florida runs Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus courses, all par 72. Access is limited to resort guests and members through its Preferred Rental Program, so the real review question is whether the stay makes sense around the golf.

Here is how the golf, the access rules, the fees nobody lists, and the extras stack up. The Florida golf club archive lists other Central Florida options.

You are not buying a tee time at Reunion. You are buying a vacation that happens to include three very good golf courses.

Club Overview

Reunion Resort & Golf Club is at 7593 Gathering Drive, Kissimmee, Florida, in the Four Corners area of Osceola County. The resort’s own marketing puts it about 6 miles from the Walt Disney World entrance. The three courses are the Legacy (Arnold Palmer), the Independence (Tom Watson) and the Tradition (Jack Nicklaus). The resort’s golf page lists them by designer name, which is how I describe them below.

Ownership is not stated on the official site. Wikipedia says an Atlanta firm, Kingwood International Resorts, bought the resort in February 2019. I could not confirm who operates it today.

What I Liked

Reunion’s value is range. You get three courses that each play differently, so a four-day stay does not feel repeated.

  • Three par-72 courses by Arnold Palmer (6,916 yards), Tom Watson (7,154 yards) and Jack Nicklaus (7,219 yards), per the resort’s golf page
  • Golfers rate the Palmer course highly, with Golf Advisor showing 4.6 stars and about 97.6 percent recommending it
  • Complimentary putting greens and chipping area for guests and members, and a driving range at $25 without a booked tee time
  • Golfzon Leadbetter Academy headquarters, Club Champion fitting and a GOLFZON TwoVision simulator on site
  • A stated pace-of-play target of 4 hours 20 minutes or less

What I Didn’t Like

The golf scores well. The surrounding costs and the access rules are where complaints pile up.

  • No public tee times; you need a resort stay, rental or membership access
  • Green fees are not on the resort’s own golf page, so you find out the cost at booking
  • Reviewers on travel sites regularly complain about resort fees (around $40 and up) and parking (around $20 a day)
  • Rental villas draw mixed reviews on cleanliness and extra charges, which can sour a golf-focused trip

Membership & Fees

Reunion does not post green fees on its official golf page. A third-party listing from an undated source shows about $125 in low season and $185 in peak season, but I would treat that as old.

The bigger cost is the stay. Resort fees, parking and rental charges all add up, and travelers mention them far more often than the golf. Price the whole trip, not the round.

For a look at how membership costs usually work at private clubs, see semi-private and resort golf club memberships. If you want to stay in the same area on a smaller budget, Celebration Golf Club is a public option near Disney.

Facilities & Amenities

The resort is much more than golf, and that is both the selling point and the cost driver.

  • Three 18-hole courses: Palmer, Watson and Nicklaus
  • Practice facilities with putting greens, a chipping area and a range
  • Golfzon Leadbetter Academy and Club Champion club fitting
  • A five-acre water park, with a lazy river, slides and zero-entry pool, plus eight guest pools
  • Dining that includes 7593 Chophouse, Eleven (rooftop), a sushi bar, The Clubhouse and Drifters Bar & Grille
  • Tennis, pickleball, mini golf and FootGolf

Best Time to Visit

Peak golf season runs January through May, when the weather is dry and the courses are busiest. Summer brings lower prices but afternoon thunderstorms, so tee off early.

Skip the school-holiday weeks if you want a calm round. Family traffic goes up, and booking a good time gets harder.

Dress Code & Etiquette

I could not find a posted dress code. Pack collared shirts and golf shorts or trousers and you will fit in anywhere on the property.

Tee times are required and not guaranteed, so book as soon as your stay is confirmed. For general etiquette, our dress code guide covers the basics.

Who Is This Club For?

This club is a good fit if you are bringing a family or a golf group and want to stay on property with golf, pools and dining in one place.

This club is a good fit if you want to play Palmer, Watson and Nicklaus designs in a single trip.

Skip this one if you live nearby and want a pay-and-play round. Access is tied to the resort.

Skip this one if you want to avoid resort fees and parking charges. They are the most common complaint on travel sites.

People Also Ask: Frequently Asked Questions

Is Reunion Resort golf open to the public?

Not in the usual sense. The official site limits golf to resort guests and members through its Preferred Rental Program. Third-party sources describe limited outside play, so call the golf desk on 407-396-3199 to ask about current availability. Tee times are required and not guaranteed.

How much does it cost to play golf at Reunion Resort?

Reunion does not list green fees on its golf page. An older third-party listing from an undated source showed about $125 in low season and $185 in peak season. Treat that as old. Call the golf desk or check your booking for the current price.

Who designed the courses at Reunion Resort?

Arnold Palmer designed the Legacy course, Tom Watson designed the Independence course and Jack Nicklaus designed the Tradition course. All three play to par 72. The resort’s golf page lists 6,916 yards for Palmer, 7,154 yards for Watson and 7,219 yards for Nicklaus.

How far is Reunion Resort from Disney World?

The resort markets itself as about 6 miles from the Walt Disney World entrance. It sits at 7593 Gathering Drive in Kissimmee, in the Four Corners area of Osceola County. Actual drive times depend on traffic, so allow extra time in the morning and early evening.

Does Reunion Resort charge a resort fee?

Travel-site reviewers report a resort fee of about $40 or more per stay plus daily parking of about $20. Reviewers also flag extra charges on rental villas. Fees can change, so confirm every charge with the resort when you book.

Verdict & Score

I rate Reunion Resort and Golf Club 4.3 out of 5. The courses, practice setup and amenities are strong, and the golfer feedback on the Palmer course is excellent. Locked-in access, unlisted green fees and add-on charges stop it from scoring higher. How we score clubs explains the scale.

If you are already staying at Reunion, play at least two of the three. If you are not, there is no reason to chase access.

Author Note

This review prices the whole stay, not only the round. At resort golf the resort fee and parking are the largest add-ons, and the sources above report both.
