What I liked and did not like
What I liked
- The setting has real personality. Beach, river, Derwent and Mt Wellington views make it feel distinctly Tasmanian.
- Visitor fees are clear. A$100 for 18 holes, with Tasmanian postcode discounts, is easy to understand.
- Social visitors do not need a handicap. The club says visitors can play socially with no handicap required.
- The course tour is unusually useful. Hole notes call out elevation, wind, Browns River, water, and the electric inclinator to the 18th tee.
What I did not like
- A$100 is not bargain golf. It is fair for a scenic visitor course, but not cheap.
