Texas Golf Clubs

Texas green fees run roughly $36 to $135 at the public clubs we’ve reviewed, and the private clubs mostly don’t publish anything. That split is the whole story of golf in this state, and it’s why we score access separately from the course.

Twelve Texas golf clubs are reviewed here, concentrated in the two metros that matter: Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston. Waterchase (4.4) in Fort Worth is the strongest daily-fee card in DFW at $65–$83 with cart. Irving Golf Club runs $36–$60 all-in and is the best municipal value we’ve found in the metro. Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington uses dynamic pricing that commonly lands between $62 and $135, so the date you book changes the verdict.

Houston is thinner but deeper at the top. BlackHorse (4.3) gives you a genuine 36-hole choice in Cypress, and Golf Club of Houston puts a former PGA Tour host course in play from about $125.

At the private end, Brook Hollow (4.7) in Dallas is the best course in this list and publishes nothing at all — no initiation, no dues, no inquiry rate. That is normal for old-line Texas clubs and it’s why our reviews lean on reported figures and filings rather than club websites.
